7:08 am
video. aren't you supposed to respect a uniform. what the guard did is probably in the, park ranger did is probably not something you are supposed to do. doesn't he have an attorney. >> reporter: yes, the attorney argued last week that this guy, aaron williams, never even identified himself as an employee because that day he didn't have a badge on. he is in uniform. >> yes. >> reporter: i was amazed that the judge said hey, he is not exactly al cap pope because the d-a.'s office wanted bail up to 350 you this dollars. everybody was outrage. you do in the stump somebody's head in the the concrete. i don't think that second video will get tanner off any easier. >> if one goes down you don't stump their head. is there a certain protocol it went too far. >> right. >> neither one of them will be in the prize fight anytime soon. thanks, steve. happening today jurors will move forward with deliberations in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a five-year old girl.

7:16 am
celebration, more than 1300 people, crowded the parking lot here at will he grove park mall for opening ceremonies which are underway right now. lets take a look at some live pictures. you can see the big crowd is out here. this is going to start in about 15 minutes, here, people will walk, 60 miles in the metro philadelphia area today. their travels will take them from willow grove, glenside, orland into the city. each person raising up their shoes here has raised at least $2,300 for susan g komen, and some raised far more than others. one woman has raised nearly $20,000 alone. the as a month of fund raising and training it all comes together today. survivors, their family, friend, people walking, for loved ones who lost their lives to cancer. so their mission is the same for everyone here today to kick cancer's butt by walking, raising their voices, raising money and awareness and fighting back. so you can see people are here all gathered here right now in
7:17 am
about ten or 15 minutes, they will take off on that 60-mile journey to day. it is 20 miles for everyone gathered out here. we have heard lots of stories of hope, love, encouragement, survival and it is really a special place to be right now that song gets to people. very emotional part of the walk when they start. >> it looks very emotional. they are all coming together and enduring something like that. >> so 60 miles over three days, right, sue. >> that is it, and it is chilly out there this morning for those folks a lot of pink fleece, on many of them, and it will be, warming up, but not too much, late are on today. the the reason why, the cold front that is here. it came through yesterday. wasn't very loud as we have been saying all morning but it did happen. and now high pressure is building in. wind are out of the north, so it is definitely, chillier then it was, yesterday and you can also feel the lack of humidity, which for most of us is a good thing. so ultimate doppler no rain to show you. plenty of sunshine. the the rain has moved to our

don't believe tom corbett's tv ad. the facts speak for themselves. tom corbett cut a billion dollars from our schools. he took an ax to education. twenty-seven thousand educators were laid-off. class sizes increased. and now almost eighty percent of school districts plan to raise property taxes. tom corbett. can't trust him on education. can't trust him to be for us.
7:23 am
oh, yeah. baltimore ravens played their
7:24 am
first game since second tape surfaced of former raven ray rice hitting his wife inside an atlantic city elevator. >> you know his daughter's name is raven, raven rice. >> you might be surprised how many fans showed up wearing ray's jersey to the game. a lot of women did so we want to get a reaction from somebody in the sports talk world, and that, of course, is pat gallon from 97.5 the fanatic. >> good morning. >> were you surprised. >> of course, why would you do that, first of all, it just brings a negative connotation and to be honest with you this entire thing has gotten completely out offhanded. i guess the guy is trying to prove a point but proving the the wrong point this is domestic violence we are talking about here, this isn't a joke. this guy is taking that as a joke. >> women are even wearing these jerseys that the fans are more connect to what is had happening on the field as opposed to what he is doing off. >> i guess so because obviously but i think at some
7:25 am
point you have to separate the two. they cannot go hand and hand when something like that happens. it is kind of tearing the league and the fans apart. >> we keep showing video of the guy, aim not sure why because a lot of women had them on and they were speaking to reporters about why they wore the the jersey. that just shows you how important football is for people. >> he helped us win a super bowl and we will not forget that. >> that is great, that is fine but again, you have to separate the two. if you are a woman, i cannot speak, i'm not the a woman but from that standpoint you have to say what are they thinking. why would you go down that road. why would you do that if you are a woman because it is sending the wrong message that it is okay to do that. >> if eagles fans, eagles fans would have done that, somebody, the national media would be ripping us this morning. >> they should be here too. >> it is more important, football is more important than that.
7:26 am
>> lets just get through these next few weeks. if you want to bring jersey out, tive rent information comes out, where maybe, you saw video, yes. >> i know what you are saying, in the audience what about michael vick. >> but he went to prison. he served his time. that is different. >> were you surprised that he hasn't saying anything else. >> you know he is not going to retire. he is not going to give up a job that pays him 44 million-dollar a year. don't expect him to say, i'm walking away. >> even if that is the case, he vice tight with the owners. he is basically the liaison between the league and owners. solve stuck up for him. he will not walk away. i don't see him getting fired. >> what about this stupid internal investigation. >> led by someone paid by the nfl not that long ago. >> that is a sham, ridiculous. >> we don't have a game on sunday we will talk more about the eagles we will have you back on machine for your monday night game.
7:27 am
>> good to see you. >> alex, what is next. >> oscar pistorius guilty, we will break down verdict with our legal expert next.

7:30 am
>> i do too. i was actually alive. i'm just teasing you. you know what, i thought we would take a trip to the tropics because we have a new tropical storm, edward, it is 40-mile an hour wind and this is our favorite storm. even though it is expect to strengthen into a hurricane it is really far away from any land. it has formed more than a thousand miles away from the west coast of have africa and track of this storm takes it no where. it uses up the next name on the list, and that is about it. ultimate doppler radar for us, we have a cold front coming through. you may not have have have noticed but we didn't get thunderstorms that were advertised. it didn't get quite warm enough and humid enough to touch off those storms but we have some rain and it is all to the south of us, mostly on the del marva peninsula. as we walk out the door, we have temperatures mostly in the 50's. sixty's in philadelphia and wilmington.
7:31 am
mid 60's in dover and wildwood. cool air has gone that far south. dew points have dropped. all of the dew points are in the 50's this morning. it is, that 70's show just for alex. 78 degrees today. seventy-one tomorrow a lot of clouds and showers around. sunny and nice on sunday. weather-wise the better looking day is indeed sunday, but both days are on the cool side. then we will get in the upper 70's on monday, mid 07's with showers in the morning on tuesday, and, by wednesday and thursday, it is just gorgeous, so, autumn doesn't happen until the between the second but between now and then, caitlin, it sure looks like we will feel autumnal. >> it looks great, a lot of 70's there. beautiful weather. thanks sue. abington church road at cottman avenue we have reports of an accident that came in the area right there. we are starting to see delays build. if you can avoid it, great, otherwise, no more details on the scene but just an accident there.
7:32 am
strawberry mansion, fountain street near 32nd street we have a building fire, so, being told to just avoid the area as you can. fifty-five southbound at 674 we have been telling but this accident in the vineland new jersey for the past hour. it has the road closed. you cannot use 55 south there. you have to use alternate 47 or delsea drive, mike. >> believe it or not, they are still talking in south africa, but verdict has come down. oscar pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide. why don't we just call it manslaughter. today in a south african courtroom. however he is not guilty of premeditated murder. the judge says there was in the enough evidence to prove he knew his girl friend was in that bathroom, when he shot through the door, killing her. really. >> the case that ace tracking international attention. the lets bring in legal analyst ken rottweiler. he is not convicted of murder but with this culpable
7:33 am
homicide how many years can he spend behind bars. >> somewhere between zero and 15 years. she has total discretion on what she wants to do with that. i predict it will be three to five-year range but we will wait and see. >> so, do i have it right, culpable homicide is what we call manslaughter. >> that is right, mike. i have to say people are upset about this verdict. the judge absolutely got it right. i have been following this case from the beginning. i always thought it would be culpable homicide. the the state did not have prove their case of premeditated murder. they did not prove a case of the lesser charge of murder owe arer. that is an unlawful killing. that is what the evidence proved. that is what she held. i think she got it hundred percent right. >> i think you are absolutely wrong. >> i necessity do you. >> lets get this straight then. he believes he went to the door and shot the gun but wasn't expect to go kill anyone. >> that is exactly right. but i'm not saying that is what exact happened, but that is what the evidence showed.
7:34 am
he to the up, went to the door. he was scared. he had aid gun. the the gun went off. >> yes. >> you can say to yourself, well, no, he knew she was in there and he attempted to kill her by shooting in her but that is no the what the judge found. judge found that she believed the fact that he was scared. he grew up in an environment in south africa where there is violence. she believed being disabled, being in an area with lots of violence, she believed he had fear in his heart. >> what about calling 911 or security, he had lots of security around his home. >> you are right, and that is why judge found what she found. she found look, you have lots of other options. you didn't to have pump bull nets to their. you could have call 911. you could have left your apartment. you could have done a lot of other things. you didn't to have shoot the gun. that is why he is in fact convicted of culpable homicide. >> middle of the night, ken, why is this woman. quite often i get out of bed and lock myself in my bathroom, so why is she lock herself in the bathroom. >> well, the whole thing is, mike he said he didn't know
7:35 am
she was in the bathroom. >> how about looking in the bed and she's not there, how but hear a woman's voice, screaming, stop shooting. >> well, no, the judge found she didn't believe it was her voice, that was a big thing. whether he she read her verdict and talk about all of the evidence she believed that it was oscar pistorius who did the screaming. she actually believed, she didn't believe any of those neighbors who believed it was reeva stein scam seven screaming and that was crucial in her ruling of culpable homicide. there are other charges here. >> there are. >> gun charges. >> there were two gun charges. one when he shot the gun off a sun roof in the car and one when he shot a gun off in the restaurant. she acquitted him on the charge of shooting off the gun in the car because she said that the testimony was inconsistent of the witnesses. but the gun charge with regard to the restaurant she quick him of. that holds a sentence of between zero and five years. he could get sometime there too. >> what does sentencing.
7:36 am
>> that is right, sentencing will occur in another week or two and we will find out exactly how long he will go to jail for. >> real quickly, do you feel like he is getting off easy here. >> do i think he is getting off easy based on what i think happened, what ken rottweiler things but in terms of the evidence, he got the exact sentence, or the exact conviction. >> why is she locked in the bathroom, seriously. >> good to see you too. coming up, okay, this is my favorite story of the day, two local sisters, they are sisters, they gave birth to their children just hours apart. >> ahh. >> this is a great one, it is a montgomery county story. we will tell you details because it is fascinating. >> can't wait, i love babies. >> what a close relationship. it makes me happy to go on the computer.
